2014 Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walks

The 2014 Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walks are in the planning stages now.  The Walks are the backbone of this organization.  They help generate revenue for things like:  Educational programs; Family caregiver services; Afterhours caregiver phone; Monthly newsletter; lending library; File of Life Program; General operating expenses.  Walks are a place where people just have fun.  They laugh with others and laughing has been shown to relieve stress.  Whether you Walk along or join friends, family or co-workers and walk as a team, please know that YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!  Many walk to honor or remember a colleague, friend or loved one affected by Alzheimer’s or one of the related dementias. Walks need people and we need you!

We are always looking for ways to partner in our local communities.  If you are interested in hosting a Walk or another fundraising activity, please contact Barbara Jensen, Development Director at 501-224-0021 or barbara.jensen@alzark.org.
