Events - The Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walks
The dates are set and work has begun on what promises to be an exciting year of Walks around Arkansas. Out theme is “Continue The Care.” Your generous contributions will allow us to continue the care that began so many years ago.
The 2008 Walk schedule is:
- Little Rock – September 13 at the Little Rock Zoo
- Hot Springs – September 27 at Garvan Woodland Gardens
- Pocahontas – October 4 at Riverfront and Overlook Parks
- Conway – October 18 at Toad Suck Park
- Fairfield Bay – October 25 at the Hart Center
If it’s been a while since you and your friends or family have been to Pocahontas, Garvan Gardens, the Zoo, Toad Suck Park, or Fairfield Bay, choose a Saturday morning and join us. Your time will be well spent and your contributions will make a huge difference to a family in need.
For those of you who will be joining us for the first time, you can walk as a “team” or individually. Forming a Walk Team is fun and your team has the opportunity to win great team prizes.
There are no registration fees to participate but if you want to receive commemorative Walk T-shirt you must donate at least $25, while supplies last. Everyone has a chance to win one of many fabulous door prizes.

 Louis Beck is an Arkansas native who has lived and worked in Little Rock for most of his life. He graduated from Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. He has been painting for enjoyment since 1953 and still continues to produce original works. His company, St. Jude Packaging is a proud supporter of Alzheimer's Arkansas. Several of Mr. Beck's framed, signed and numbered lithographs will be available for purchase during the silent auction at the 2008 Hot Springs Walk at Garvan Woodland Gardens. |
