Alzheimer’s Arkansas Proudly Presents First Annual Alzheimer’s Arkansas Advocate of the Year
Ms. Phyllis Watkins July 9, 2013 Temple B’nai Israel
Phyllis became the first paid executive director of Alzheimer’s Arkansas in 1994, 19 years ago. She started with staff of one, herself. Over the years Phyllis grew the tiny non-profit organization to a dedicated staff of six with hundreds of faithful volunteers around the state. Phyllis is well respected and admired by all who know her and has been called a "State Treasure" for her tireless service to Arkansans affected by Alzheimer’s and the related dementias.

Looking for a way to give back?
Consider facilitating
a support group Our next training date is June 21st. The training is at the Alzheimer’s Arkansas office starting at 9:00 am and ending about 4:00 pm. Due to limited space, registration is required and the deadline to register is May 17th. For additional information contact Priscilla Pittman at priscilla.pittman@alzark.org or 501-224-0021. The next facilitator training will be scheduled in the summer. Your time and concern for the caregivers and their loved ones is appreciated; without you many people would lack the comfort and assistance so needed during this phase of their life.

2nd Annual Caregiver’s Night Out
Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 Doors open – 5:30 pm Dinner – 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm “Curtain Time” – 6:45 pm Join us for an evening of good old-fashioned fun, food, & fellowship.
